脳に障害があるようこちゃん。
乳児院で一番年上だけど、今も歩くことも、しゃべることもできません。
そんなようこちゃん、ご飯を食べていても、遊んでいても、突然、激しく泣き始めることが多くなりました。
職員さんは言います。
「最近、抱っこが大好きになって、抱っこしてもらいたくて仕方ないんです。」
抱きしめるとこわばった身体の力みがほんの少し抜けて、なんともいえない笑顔を見せてくれるようこちゃん。

Even under these conditions she often starts crying fervently when she is eating and playing. The staff says that she likes to be embraced and .begs for it very frequently. When she is embraced her tense body relaxes a little., and Yoko-chan shows a satisfied smile.
