乳児院のある日の夕食風景。
おみそ汁に手を入れて真剣にクチャクチャしているゆうたくん。
天ぷらのいんげんをポイっと投げてにんまりのゆうごくん。
あっち側では、勇ましく立ち上がって叫んでる勇者がひとり…。
「ちょっと待って！いんげんさんが、食べて～って言ってるよ」
となだめる私の声が虚しく響く…。
いやいや、待てよ。
うちの子もこんな時あったわあ。
思い通りになんてまるで動いてくれないこの感覚…懐かしい！
そんなことを思い返しているうちに、みんななんとか食べ始めて、ちゃんと時間内に食べ終わりました。
叱りつけないで良かったわ。
Supper time hustle and bustle at an infant-facility.
Playing with his whole heart by sticking fingers into Miso-soup (soy-bean soup) ...that is Yuta-kun.
Tossing away deep-fried(tempura) kidney beans all over.......that is grinning-faced Yugo-kun.
Over there is another brave boy who is standing up and shouting aloud....
I tried to calm them down "Hey, boys, wait! Aren't kidney beans crying/asking you to eat, are they?" Somehow, I noticed my request
echoed in vain.....
Welll, wait, I said to myself... come to think of it, there was certainly time before like this...time I had with my kids. I felt some strange and
nostalgic feelings coming back to me! That's a kind of powerless setback or kind of surrender to their naughty mischief...They never stop and listen to how I wanted
them to behave.
To my surprise, while I was cherishing my own memory vacant-mindedly, every kid managed to finish eating their portion of supper in
time.
